While the rain yesterday cooled off Taipei and other parts of Taiwan, the lower temperatures are not expected to stick around much longer, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
There’s still a chance of rain today at about 30% throughout Taiwan, with the high temperature in Taipei expected to reach 22°C (71°F). The overnight low is forecast to be 19°C (66°F) with a very low chance of showers.
Tomorrow the CWB predicts cloudy skies with little chance of showers and a high of 29°C (84°F).
Sunshine is expected to return with more stable weather on Saturday with a high of 30°C.
Over the last 24 hours, the central and eastern regions of Taiwan received the most rain, with Yushan in Nantou County recording 54.5 mm of precipitation and Hehuanshan in Hualien recording 52 mm.
