Water to more than 25,000 households in Tainan’s Yongkang District will be shut off for about 23 hours on September 9 to fix suspected water pipe leaks, Taiwan Water Corporation for the Sixth District announced.
Maintenance work in the district will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, September 9. Residents are reminded to store water in preparation for the full-day disruption in service. While water service is expected to resume at 7:00 am on September 10, some residents may experience delays.
Sixth District Management Office Director Li Ting (李丁) said inspections along Ziqiang Rd. in Yongkang found suspected water pipe leakage. The scheduled work is to maintain the stability of the water supply. Ting added that in the even of heavy rain or a typhoon warning, the maintenance work will be postponed.
