A fire broke out at a police precinct in Taipei’s Songshan District at 3:00 this morning, burning 11 police motorcycles and damaging two police cars and two additional motorcycles.
While some sources have reported that no incendiary devices have been found at the scene, arson is suspected and the police will review security footage, according to deputy-director Lin Chi-tien. An initial report called the fire “spontaneous combustion.” Forensic investigators found at least one fuel cap missing from a burned motorcycle.
