Beer & Cheese has CLOSED.
If you’re tired of drinking the same beer around the city, you can head over to Beer & Cheese on the east side of Da’an Park for a wide selection of local and imported brews. This friendly space boasts 8 rotating taps and many more bottles that change from time to time. Management attempts to obtain some hard-to-find beers, but be prepared to pay a hefty price for those (some bottles cost NT$1000+). Much of what Beer & Cheese offers is from Mikkeller, Caldera, Elysian, and Evil Twin.
While prices at Beer & Cheese, which opened in late 2013, can be intimidating, it has specials throughout the week. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can buy four bottles of Moosehead lager for NT$300 until 8 pm. There are also regular specials on 886 Magnum PIPA. Or you could stop in for Sunday brunch and a Caesar for NT$150.
The bar offers cheese pairings with flights of beer as well. The kitchen offers a limited menu that staff will be happy to recommend–they’ll even recommend what to order with your specific beer. The bartenders are knowledgeable and can tell you about the beers available and even make recommendations based on your tastes.
