Foreigner Assaulted by Queue Jumper on MRT

Yesterday, Namibian Paralympian Reginald Benade was attacked on the MRT when he confronted a queue jumper.

According to video, Benade was standing in line for the train with his wife when 61-year-old construction worker Chiu Kuang-hsun cut in front. Benade tapped Chiu on the backpack to tell him that he had jumped the queue. On the train, Chiu verbally attacked Benade and his wife. Benade stepped forward to prevent any physical altercation between his wife and Chiu.

Chiu then attacked Benade with pliers; stabbing him several times. Benade was rushed to the hospital and Chiu was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
