Fewer Fatal Drunk Driving Accidents: NPA

For the first four months of 2015, there were 55 fatal drunk driving accidents in Taiwan, according to the National Police Agency (NPA). There were 66 fatal accidents in the same period last year, UDN reported.

The NPA reported a total of 37,624 drunk driving violations from January to April this year.

The NPA will continue to monitor drivers in high incident areas and during holidays to further reduce instances of drunk driving across Taiwan. With increased enforcement from May 20 to 22, police encountered 946 drunk driving violations.
