The city wants to know what comes to mind when you think of Taipei. Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) is inviting the public to share its perspective on the city’s unique characteristics in the “2015 The Spirit of Taipei Photo Essay Contest.” To enter you need to submit a photo to express your take on the “Spirit of Taipei,” and include a short paragraph (up to 300 words) to convey your idea.
TPEDOIT commissioner Chien Yu-yen noted that there are many visages of Taipei waiting to be discovered. She encourages the public to share their take on the “Spirit of Taipei.”
The top prize is NT$30,000, and the winner will work with a professional design team to help design the logo for the Spirit of Taipei.
The deadline for submissions is April 12.
Between May 7 and 28, the public will vote for the best entry via the online voting system “i-Voting.” Those casting their votes will be eligible for a raffle offering prizes such as iPad mini 3 and portable battery charger.
