There was no blood on the tracks.
Taiwan media reported that an allegedly drunk 28-year-old foreigner fell onto the train tracks at Chiayi Station at 7:30 yesterday morning. Fortunately, other passengers alerted police and station staff before a train could run over the drunk foreigner.
Police and station staff helped the man to safety and let him sober up before heading to Tainan. He refused medical attention.
No word on whether the foreigner would be fined or charged for the disturbance to rail travel during the holiday.
